The Committees of Piney Orchard…
Are composed of Piney Orchard residents who volunteer their time in order to keep our community looking and functioning at its best.  These individuals are much appreciated and could always use additional volunteers.

The Activities Committee…
In the recent past has organized events within the community such as the Community Yard Sale, Memorial Day Party, Adult Socials, Pool Movie Nights and much more.  This committee meets on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at the community center at 7PM.  If you would be interested in volunteering some of your time to this committee, please contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. The Athletic Facilities Committees…

• Fitness Center:  Responsible for the policies, maintenance, repair, and improvement of the equipment and the facility.  There is a suggestion box attached to the bulletin board for any thoughts or ideas you might have.  The committee is always looking for committed volunteers.  The committee meets as-needed throughout the year.

• Fitness Classes:  Responsible for organizing group exercises classes and other fitness-related events.  The committee puts together a new roster of classes quarterly.  The committee is always looking for committed volunteers, they meet on an as-needed basis throughout the year. 
• Running Club:   is dedicated to promoting fitness through running for the residents of Piney Orchard. We run throughout the paths and roads of our community. The Club is filled with people of all skill levels, from beginner to marathoner. And as our club continues to grow, we will be offering more running clinics, weekly runs, club races, and events. • Tot Lots: Responsible for assessing the repairs and upgrades of the five POCA playgrounds including the two at the community center (front and rear) as well as the Rotary, the Island and the Orchard Point playgrounds.  We meet on an as needed basis to schedule playground audits and discuss budget proposals for upcoming fiscal years.  The committee is always looking for committed volunteers.  The committee meets as-needed throughout the year.  Please contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. The Nature Preserve Advisory…
Has been working with members of the community, setting up field trips, and setting up modifications and repairs to the various bird boxes in the preserve as well as planning other next year projects.  If you would be interested in volunteering some of your time to this committee, please contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. The Safety Committee…
Works on Safety issues within the community that typically require long term planning.  Recently this has included coordination with Anne Arundel County traffic engineers on traffic safety and traffic calming in and around Piney Orchard, the new surveillance system, regular communications with the Anne Arundel County Police Department to enhance security and much more.   If you would be interested in volunteering some of your time to this committee, please contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. The Architectural Review Committee…
Receives, reviews and makes decisions on all Architectural Change requests submitted.  In addition to the maintenance of these files, this committee is also responsible for the creation and implementation of guidelines and standards for the community's architectural appearance.  If you would be interested in volunteering some of your time to this committee, please contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Finance Committee…

Meets to discuss, review, analyze or draft documents for consideration by the Board of Directors on financial matters of the Association including but not limited to: Investment policy, capital reserve studies, assessment practices, collection of delinquent accounts, the Association's & Managing Agent's financial procedures, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
